I fished with Emmett Heath on Monday... We had a great time looking for crickets... Emmett tried some of his favorite patterns... a size 8 Humpy and a bumble bee fly... after testing some of Emmett's secret patterns we finally found a couple thousand mormon crickets and caught some fish... this was the best day of fishing I have had all year... fishing with Emmett is like fishing with a talking history book... It was really cool to hear all the stories from the man himself... Emmett has spent a lot of time with my other boss Jack Dennis... it was neat to hear about Jack back in the day... Emmett is a living legend and I couldnt be more greatful to spend time with him on the river.. thanks again Emmett... I hope we get to see you at the one fly this year...

Josh,
It's great that you rowed so Emmett could fish. A day on the river is always a special day for him. I feel honored that he rowed me down the Green last year. U R right- a living history book.
You might like to read the blog I wrote about Emmett when I left the Green http://apps.flyfishcafe.com/Blog/ It's dated June 27.
Maybe we'll see you later this summer. -Colorado Carol
